INTRODUCTION
Guru Nanak Eye Centre was conceived in 1971 with a view to provide best eye centre to residents of delhi. The project was initiated with a future requirement of community of Delhi Administration. The name of institution was adopted as GNEC with a view to maintain the teaching of Guru Nank & initial support was provided by Gurudawara Prabanthak Committee Delhi. The out Patient Department block started functionaly in 1977 and the Indoor Patients were kept in eye ward of LNJP hospital.
GNEC became administratively independent on 14th March 1986 with complete indoor facility. 184 beded hospital started functionaly in small but beautiful building with lots of greenary to the eye patients. | |||||||
